Career Development Regulation
PURPOSE
The purpose of this regulation is to prepare and implement a forward-looking career plan for hotel employees (Department Manager – Chef – Employee A); The goal is to identify and train talented personnel for future open positions and to increase employee loyalty by creating a proper career plan for these personnel. **APPLICATION** 2.1 Responsibility for Identifying Talented Personnel **Department Manager** **Human Resources Director** **2.2 Selection** Criteria
Employees are selected from among those who consistently demonstrate high work performance, possess the technical competence for their position, continuously improve themselves, and set an example for other employees with their attitude, behavior, and communication.
2.3 Implementation
Each year, department managers identify open positions that may arise within their teams.
The department manager prepares a technical training program for employees who can transition to the identified open positions within the department.
The opened technical training program is announced within the department, and the training is attended by department personnel.
Any employee who wishes to participate can do so. The training period cannot be less than two months. Trainings are given by the department manager in a classroom setting on specific days of the week. After the training, participants are required to take a written exam prepared by the department manager. After the written exam, successful candidates are given a department-specific final project. The projects are prepared by the employees and presented to the Human Resources Director, Department Manager, and Department Manager Assistant. After the written exam results and project presentations, the Human Resources Director and Department Manager will make evaluations, and if necessary, an English interview will be conducted with the top three candidates. 2.4 Evaluation After the interviews, the Human Resources Director and Department Manager will present the reasons for selecting the personnel who deserve to move up to the next position to the hotel General Manager. Following the final evaluation by the Hotel General Manager, the formal promotion process begins for the selected staff member(s).
