SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT POLICY

At Crowne Plaza Istanbul Florya, we manage our procurement processes in line with sustainability principles and collaborate with our business partners within the framework of environmental, social and ethical values.

Our sustainable procurement approach is based on an environmentally and socially responsible approach. In this context, we expect our suppliers and solution partners to prioritize the following criteria: Quality and Management Systems: We ensure that our suppliers possess internationally recognized certifications such as Quality Assurance Management Systems and Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, and that they comply with sustainability principles. Compliance with Environmental Legislation: It is a priority for us that our suppliers adopt environmentally friendly practices in their production and procurement processes and fully comply with current environmental legislation. Natural Resource Use: We expect our suppliers to show sensitivity in protecting natural resources, not harming the ecosystem, and complying with appropriate hunting bans. We prefer to work with business partners who protect natural life and consume resources in sustainable ways.
  • Waste Management:Our suppliers need to develop and implement effective strategies to minimize their waste and manage it in a way that causes the least harm to the environment. We also encourage them to reduce unnecessary packaging use in their packaging processes and, where possible, to offer bulk, reusable, and recycled packaging options.
  • Environmentally Friendly and Ethical Products: We prioritize environmentally friendly, energy-saving, recyclable or recycled materials, organic, vegan, cruelty-free, and non-harmful chemical alternatives in the products we supply.
  • Local and Indigenous Production: To contribute to the local economy and protect cultural heritage, we value our suppliers being local producers or service providers and offering products that reflect regional cuisine, traditions, and culture.
  • Environmental Awareness: We collaborate with our suppliers to create sustainable purchasing opportunities and minimize the environmental impact of our supply processes. We aim to achieve this.
